What we keep, and why
Short version: your Steam ID, the result of the calculation, and a wallet if you link one. Nothing else, ever.
What we read
Through Steam's official API, with your consent given by using their sign-in button:
- Your public Steam ID.
- The list of games on your account and how long you played each one.
- Your account creation date, Steam level and ban status — used only to check the anti-farming conditions described in the method page.
We request only the data you ask for yourself by connecting, as Steam's API terms require.
What we keep
- Your 17-digit Steam ID.
- The result of the calculation: hours per publisher, wall, share.
- The wallet address you link, if you link one.
- Your redirect choices.
- An anonymous aggregate: your hours added to everyone else's, by company and by wall, under a
key derived from your Steam ID that cannot be turned back into it. It feeds the public ledger
(
/api/debt) and nothing there points at you.
No email address, no name, no IP address kept beyond short-lived technical logs.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or pass anything to anyone.
- Read your friends, messages, purchases or inventory.
- Change anything at all on your Steam account.
- Show ads or run third-party trackers.
Publisher data
Game and publisher information comes from Steam's public catalogue and is cached on our side so we don't have to ask about the same game twice. That cache contains no personal data — just which company published which game.
Deletion
You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time. It takes effect within seven days.
One thing we cannot undo: transactions already written to the blockchain. If you claimed a share, that transaction is public and permanent by design. That's how the chain works, and it's why nothing you claim can ever be quietly reversed.
Where it lives
Data is stored in the European Union. The site is served from a global CDN.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, or a copy in a portable format. Write to the address below and we'll answer within a month.
Contact. An address will be published here before launch. Until then this site is a prototype and stores nothing.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it, and anything material gets announced on the site rather than slipped in quietly.
